Strong nationalist constituency and traditional SDLP stronghold, Foyle covers Northern Ireland’s second city, Derry / Londonderry.
This urban constituency, which is named after the river which runs through it, includes most of Derry District Council.
In 2007, the SDLP held three of the six Assembly seats here, with Sinn Féin holding two and the DUP one.
Traditionally the SDLP fortress but with no big name candidate this time. Willie Hay will be the only Unionist but veteran socialist Eamonn McCann will be expected to poll well.
