The Holt End

Your fantastic four are back... For the final time. The Holt End, the latest podcast from The Social Club, will also be Chris Holt's final.

He's leaving Northern Ireland and we're trying to hold the tears back.

So pour yourself a cocoa, snuggle into your favourite pyjamas and grab that Ben and Jerry's. It's going to get emotional.

Aside from lamenting Holty's imminent departure, the gang review their most memorable comebacks following the Bannsiders' sensational 4-3 win over Portadown, take time out to wish Cliftonville striker Chris Scannell a quick and comfortable recovery from his torn Achilles and also preview this weekend's Big Two clash between Glentoran and Linfield.

Keith Bailie takes to his regular Championship Corner to discuss the latest with 'tappadaleague' Ards and a relieved Newry City.

There's a little green and white hollarin' as the guys and girl look ahead to Russia in Moscow - could our wee country really go out there with the same positive approach, and just what does Michael O'Neill plan to do with the back?

Alternatively, skip through to the end and grab your Kleenex in solidarity of a grown man's tears.

Sure, isn't that what the Irish League's all about?

I've listened to TSC from the start and this is probably the best yet (barring the crazy Christmas special). Honestly, for all the professionalism each have as journalists and broadcasters, this just sounds like three guys and a girl having fun talking about football. That's how easy it is to get into it. So glad to see it return for 2012/13.
