Good to be back

I'm back this week after a sad and difficult time at home following the death of my beloved dad from Alzheimer's disease.

I've been inundated with kind words and support which has been of huge comfort to my family. So, thank you very, very much.

Thanks too to Rita, Siobhan and Julian for keeping the Magazine on the road while I've been off - they all did a fantastic job.

Coming up for you this week - I know I needed a bit of cheering up and who better to drop in than the man with the talking eyebrows - top comedian Jimeoin makes himself a bit too comfortable on the sofa.

Jimeoin of course hails from my hometown of Portstewart but made his name in standup down under where he lives with his wife and four kids in Melbourne. He's in town playing his first arena gig in the UK right here at the Odyssey on Saturday night. Fantastically funny man who has never lost his north coast drawl!

We also tackle the issue of the x-rated battle between some of the world's most successful young female popstars. Are the likes of Miley, Britney and Rihanna being exploited or do they know exactly what they're doing. What example do they set for young girls today? Or are we all just suffering from naked fatigue? We speak to Natasha Devon, creator of "Body Gossip" self esteem classes.

Staying with body image, former glamour girl Linda Lusardi gives her take on it all.

We've also got a touching interview with boxer Carl Frampton and his finance Christine as they prepare to tie the knot this weekend. The lovedup couple have been speaking to Ruth Gorman.

A lovely four legged People Like You coming up too - slightly different as it's going to a very special DOG which has become best friend to a young man from Comber who faces more challenges in life than most. Really lovely to meet Conor, Cassie and the entire Thompson family.

Remember you can still nominate someone special for a People Like You award here. We have been inundated with nominations and we'll be listing some we didn't manage to get to on our website. Some incredible people out there!

All that plus that all important What's On guide to your weekend.

Would love to have your company on UTV.

Take care.
