In Emmerdale Gennie's concerns over Brenda's health grow as she refuses to go through with a biopsy and her behaviour becomes more and more erratic.

Brenda hides the truth about her condition and pushes Bob away, telling him that she doesn't want to see him anymore.

A neurosurgeon advises surgery but Gennie is shocked to learn that her mum is researching alternative therapies.

Meanwhile, tensions between Cameron and Thomas continue, but at the end of the week it seems that a truce could be on the cards.

Paddy is coerced into helping Rhona organise a surprise party for Vanessa's birthday, but ends up enlisting Marlon's help for most of the work involved.

Rhona ends up injuring her back when fooling around at the party, and Paddy feels even more sidelined by Rhona and Vanessa's friendship.

Sandy worries Laurel and Ashley with his repeated disappearances and strange behaviour. An accidental fire destroys the hide where Sandy has been secretly spending time with Sean.

A dejected Sandy feels that his future in the village is bleak and decides that he wants to leave Marlon's place for a retirement home, promising help.

Ashley ends up lying to social services to try to ensure Sandy a place in sheltered accommodation.

And Andy and Debbie clash when she realises that he has left Kerry in charge of the children.

Meanwhile, over in Weatherfield, Karl's obsession with Stella spirals out of control when he kidnaps her in his cab and begs her to take him back.

When Steve finds out, he fires Karl from Streetcars yet again. With his life in ruins, Karl blames Sunita and Jason, vowing to get revenge on them both.

Tina and Fiz realise that Kirsty's mum Alison could be the key to freeing Tyrone if they can persuade her to coax the truth from her daughter.

However, the plan hits a snag when Kirsty sees the three women talking, and Tyrone's solicitor warns that they could be in trouble for intimidating a witness.

Eileen is upset to learn that Toni, who is organising Paul's charity strip show, is actually female!

Suspicion gets the better of her and she goes snooping around Paul's workplace. Later, Eileen angrily confronts Paul about the time he is spending with Toni, only to discover that he was planning to propose and was enlisting Toni's help in choosing an engagement ring!

Meanwhile, Katy struggles to contain her jealousy as her friend Steph shows an interest in Ryan.

And, would you believe, Dev and Sunita appear to be growing closer again as they spend time with the twins.

A misguided Faye tries to engineer a relationship between Tim and Anna, by excluding Owen from her school play!

I feel sure that, if we were able to look closely at Faye's scalp under her hair, we would find the numbers 666, for a more demonic looking child never walked on two feet!!!
