Remember the pictures of the Ulsterbus that crashed and topped in Belfast? Do you recall the video of the airplane that made an emergency landing at Belfast International Airport?

Or what about the video images of a mini-tornado hitting part of County Down?

They were all supplied by UTV viewers and they were featured across our news platforms on TV and the web.

In an age where people are increasingly using their mobile phone to record newsworthy incidents, usually before the TV cameras get there, we are keen to obtain your on-the-spot video recordings and pictures of events as they unfold.

As a News Editor, I firmly believe that pictures like this can often be an important part of telling the story.

Your video of an incident as it is happening or the aftermath of a serious incident means you can help make the news for us, the number one choice for news in Northern Ireland

Contact us through this page or if you tweet me personally (@Hagan_utv), I promise to get back to you.
