A 14-year-old boy is in a critical condition after being knocked down in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.
He was hit by a car on the Shore Road, at the junction of the Larne Road and Victoria Road.
The accident happened at around 8am on Monday morning.
Police said the Victoria Road area remains closed to traffic.
They have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or who saw the black Hyundai car involved to come forward with information.
