Dean Patton was last seen in the Station Square area of the north coast town on Tuesday, 24 July.

A number of land, sea and air search operations in the area have failed to find any trace of the 24-year-old.

Dean, who is around 6ft tall with dark hair and a tanned complexion, moved out of the family home into his own flat two weeks before his disappearance.

Despite making numerous appeals for information, his family isn't giving up hope and now they are offering a reward.

Dean's uncle Gerard Patton said: "We're hoping it does produce results.

"£10,000 is a lot of money to anybody, but the money's not the issue with the family.

"They'll do anything, anything at all, to get the information to lead to Dean's whereabouts and what's happened to Dean."

He added:"The money's sitting there ready for the right person to come along and say where Dean is or what's happened to Dean."

The family says it's been assured by the police that any new information will be followed up and investigated.

Gerard said he hoped the money would be an incentive for someone to come forward, before adding that he was making the media appeal on behalf of his nephew's parents who remain "devastated."

"They've been that devastated they've moved out of their home.

"They can't bear it because there are too many memories there."
