When motorists get trapped in or even on their cars by flood water, the emergency services rush to the rescue - but what happens when it's the police who find themselves marooned in a makeshift lake in the middle of a road?
Well, apparently it's the PSNI water cannon that turns up to lend a hand.
Three officers took getting on top of the flood situation a little too seriously on Wednesday, when they found themselves having to climb onto the roof of their vehicle to escape the rising water near Finaghy.
With the officers obviously safe out of harm's way, some onlookers did have a chuckle at their expense.
"Here they come to save the day!" those who captured the moment on camera laughed.
It was the PSNI who rode to the rescue in the end though, with the water cannon team arriving to tow their colleagues' stricken vehicle out of the deeper than expected 'puddle'.
All in all, it should certainly have made for an interesting distress call ...
