Officers searched 10 properties across Dungannon, Cookstown and Portadown on Wednesday as a result of a six-month investigation.

It was launched after people in the local community raised concerns about class A drug dealing activity in Dungannon.

"This is a proactive intelligence-led operation focussing on people we suspect are supplying Class A drugs, including heroin and cocaine," said Chief Inspector Jane Humphries.

"The operation was led by officers from the Dungannon Crime Team, supported by colleagues from District, Crime Operations and Operational Support Departments.

"These searches were welcomed by the local community, and I wish to reassure them that police will act upon their concerns and issues and do what is necessary to bring anyone who sells drugs within our communities before the court."

Police also seized two cars during the searches under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

They added that they are still seeking other individuals.
