Throughout the festive month of December, she has been spending her weekends at the Kennedy Centre alongside her very busy red suited husband and of course, the elves, meeting excited boys and girls.

And Santa isn't the only one with a hectic schedule, Missus Claus has been flying by sleigh back to the North Pole during the week to check letters from children all over the world, feed the reindeers, supervise the elves and wrap presents.

This Saturday and Sunday will mark her final appearances at the centre before she returns to Father Christmas's headquarters in time for his busiest day of the year.

Missus Claus decided to lend a helping hand in west Belfast when the elves told her some of the children were a bit scared about meeting Saint Nicholas.

The little white haired lady said she was delighted to hear about how good all the children had been during the year and what they hope to get as their Christmas presents.

"Some children are a little bit afraid of Santa because of his beard and prefer to sit on my knee for the photographs instead," she added.

"The most popular boy's presents this year are the Playstation and ipads, whilst the girls all seem to want Monster High dolls. Let's hope Santa grants their Christmas wishes, but they'll all have to be good for their mummy and daddy in the meantime!"
