Irvinestown sing their Christmas Carol

Irvinestown Primary sing their Christmas Carol on UTV.

The sixth of UTV's Christmas Carols has been sung by the pupils of Irvinestown Primary School in Co Fermanagh.

The choir gave a rendition of Onto Us A Child Is Born, to close Friday night's UTV Live with a touch of festive cheer.

Irvinestown Primary is a small rural school of 157 pupils.

"The choir is made up of 50 children between Year 4 and Year 7. The children practise after school on Tuesdays during Term 1 and Term 3," they said.

On Friday past, Ballyholme Primary became the first choir to take part in UTV Live this Christmas.

They were followed this week by Holy Rosary Primary School in south Belfast, Holy Family Primary and Nursery School in Derry, St Conor's Primary School and Nursery Unit in Omagh and Saints and Scholars Integrated Primary and Nursery School in Armagh.
