Irish pop duo Jedward got ready for a single launch in Belfast with a surprise grilling on the radio on current affairs from Frank Mitchell.
Former X Factor contestants John and Edward Grimes were in the city for the launch of their new song Young Love at HMV on Friday.
They spoke to Frank Mitchell on U105 on the morning of the launch, and were grilled by the presenter on some of the big issues making the news - including the historic handshake between deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and the Queen on Wednesday.
"I think it was pretty cool, okay, because everyone was giving handshakes, but I think they should have given each other a high five," John said.
"This was the first I'd heard of it but I think anyone who gives the Queen a handshake is really, really cool."
John then seemed to be reminded about the peace process in Northern Ireland and added: "Oh the peace process, yeah I think it was a really really big moment in history, I think it was really, really cool."
Edward also credited the Irish Open as a "really, really cool event" and said he and his twin brother didn't play golf themselves, but if they did they would apparently give McIlroy a run for his money as he claimed they would have a -1 handicap.
Love those Jedward lads. They are much more intelligent than they pretend to be. Snappy answers to news type questions #u105radio #jedward— Frank Mitchell (@FrankU105) June 29, 2012
