Love, lies & church floor

The week begins in Emmerdale with Ashley waking up after an uncomfortable night on the church floor, where he is almost caught by ould' Edna...

Desperate for cash, he lets himself into the house and starts frantically rifling through drawers looking for valuables to pawn.

Then when Ruby walks in on him, he eats the face off her and she beats a retreat.

As he hands over the cash he has raised to Laurel he comments that she is not wearing her wedding ring, and she is even more confused when Ruby tells her about finding Ashley in the house alone.

Up at Home Farm, Megan is still most uncomfortable around Robbie and repeats her offer to give him some money to go travelling. But when he says he will leave, she tells him that he can stay and that they will take it one step at a time.

Meanwhile, Chas and Cameron's romantic weekend away is interrupted when Cain receives a phone call and realises that Cameron is lying, and is not in Jersey after all!

Naturally, Cain confides his suspicions to Charity but she refuses to believe that Cameron is cheating on Debbie.

And all is not well at Butler's Farm as Moira gets a call from Hannah's tutor to report that, indeed, Hannah has not been showing up for her exams.

Moira is absolutely hopping mad and things only get worse when Holly comes clean about her job in London.

Then Justin tells Alicia that if she does not tell wee Jacob that she could be going to prison, he will!

Meanwhile over in Weatherfield............... It is clear that Peter Barlow is on the edge as he struggles to cope with wee Simon's disruptive behavior. When Ken finds out that the child has been stealing, he begs to be allowed to see his grandson but Peter absolutely refuses!

Things get far more serious after Simon has a confrontation with Brian at school and runs away.

A desperate search is mounted and, when Simon is found unconscious after drinking a bottle of wine, an ambulance is called!

The way things are going an ambulance should be continually parked in the street!

Of course Carla feels guilty that she is responsible and begins to think that she should move out, so is this the end of the road for her and Peter?

Over in the Rovers, Karl is horrified when Stella lets Sunita move in, while Dev still thinks that they may have a future together! (What Planet is he on?)

Nick leaves Eva in the lurch and goes off to comfort Leanne.

Meanwhile, Marcus proves to be Maria's knight in shining armor as he helps out with Liam.

Wee Simon survives his ordeal but is Peter ready for the response when he asks his son if he wants to go and live with Leanne?

Sunita is heartbroken by Karl's rejection and his suggestion that she go back to Dev!

And Audrey realises that Maria is becoming a bit too fond of Marcus and urges her to nip it in the bud before she ruins a friendship.

Meanwhile, never one to let the grass grow under her feet, the bold Eva agrees to go on a date with Jason...
