THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT:Snow showers will give difficult travelling conditions, especially over the higher routes, with strong westerly winds. There will be some clear spells between the showers with a widespread frost and some icy patches developing on some surfaces. Minimum temperature -2 deg C (28 deg F).
THURSDAY:Another bright day with wintry showers, again heaviest and most frequent in the north, but turning to rain and sleet near the North Coast. Strong west to northwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 4 deg C (39 deg F).
OUTLOOK FOR FRIDAY TO SUNDAY:Further wintry showers on Friday, but sleet or rain on low ground, then turning much colder over the weekend as winds turn northerly, with snow showers, most frequent in north.
