Weather Watchers Gallery

When submitting a picture to UTV's Weather Watchers gallery, you agree to grant UTV a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive worldwide licence to use, copy, adapt, modify, sub-license, transmit, distribute, publish or display the material in any way that we want, in any media.

By submitting your picture to UTV, you confirm that it is your own original work, that you have the right to make it available to UTV for the purposes outlined above and it is not copied from anyone else or infringing any third party's rights and/or copyrights.

You authorise UTV to make your picture available to the public and broadcast it on the 'Weather Watchers' on UTV.

You confirm that your material is not defamatory, obscene, harassing, offensive, threatening or in breach of anyone's privacy and you agree to use the website for lawful purposes only. Should any contribution by you be deemed by UTV to be undesirable, UTV reserves the right to delete such contributions and/or block any further contributions by the email address or IP address that you have used to make such contribution.

You confirm you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in all pictures sent to UTV or the consent of their parent/guardian, if they are under 16.

You own and retain the copyright to pictures you contribute to UTV's coverage, and UTV will endeavour to publish your name alongside your material on UTV's website, unless you request otherwise.

You must not have breached any law when taking the picture you are submitting. When taking photos do not endanger yourself or others and take unnecessary risks.

Make sure your contributions do not reveal any personal information about yourself or anyone else (for example, telephone number or home address).

Please do not try to upload images larger than 2 Megabytes.

UTV cannot guarantee that all pictures will be published and reserves the right to edit all user contributions.

You hereby waive any right that you may have to inspect and approve the finished product.

While we will accept Weather Watcher requests as an uploaded digital picture or traditional photo, we can only include uploaded digital pictures in the online gallery, so preferably please use this method.

If you wish to have your photo returned please include a stamped address envelope. However, while we will endeavour to return photos we cannot guarantee this.

Also please ensure that you send us a copy rather than an original especially if the photograph is of sentimental value.

Each day on UTV Live at Six a selection of Weather Watcher's birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations across all age groups are shown on TV but due to the popularity of Weather Watchers we regret that it is not possible to feature every request.

All content posted on the website is moderated prior to publication, so your contribution will not appear immediately.

Your Weather Watchers picture will remain available in the gallery on the website for a period of one month after the stated birthday date.

If you wish to request the removal of your picture, please contact UTV on +44 (0) 28 9032 8122.

If you do not want to grant UTV the rights set out above, please do not submit your photograph.

You agree to indemnify UTV against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred as a result of any breach of these Terms.
