The 36-year-old has no intention of hanging up his gloves, having won seven of his last eight fights, and he'll take on hard-hitter Rudy Markussen in Denmark next month for the WBA interim belt.
"It's a very hard ladder to get back on once you have been knocked off it, so I want to just keep pushing," Magee told UTV.
"The first half of the fight is going to be very dangerous for me but, at the level I'm going to be at against the best in the world, there're no easy fights."
Magee lost out on the IBF belt last March, but made a comeback with a unanimous decision win over Jamie Barboza in July.
He knows he's now in for a tough test against Markussen, but has been training full-time for the fight since November.
"He's only been beaten once in the past five years or something like that," Magee said. "He's the best in the world, so fingers crossed that I can keep going."
Manager Pat Magee also has high hopes and is staying positive: "The plan is for Brian to box the regular champion in the vocation fight immediately after this. If things go wrong, it could put a complete spanner in the works - but we're not looking at that."
Magee and Markussen will go head-to-head on February 18 in Brondby, Denmark.
