Wallace needs surgery on knee injury

Ulster centre Paddy Wallace could be out of action for some time after injuring his knee against Glasgow in the PRO12.

A scan on Monday evening confirmed Wallace suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament during the game at Scotstoun last Friday.

The club said his injury will require surgery and a "significant" period of rehabilitation.

Ulster lost 20-14 to the Glasgow Warriors but remain three points clear at the top of the league table, with six matches to go.
