Tommy Bowe returns to the side following an injury which has kept him out of the squad from the start of the season.
While Craig Gilroy is out with an ankle injury and a calf problem sees John Afoa as a major doubt for the tie.
However, with the added boost that scrumhalf Ruan Pienaar has committed to stay at Ravenhill for another three years the team was in good spirits ahead of the crunch tie.
Coach Mark Anscombe told UTV: "Ruan's a world class player and you have seen the clubs linked with him which shows the calibre of players we can attract and keep.
"It's not just good for the development of Ulster rugby, but it also sends a message to the rugby world that we are a club going places and it's a good place to be part of."
On the upcoming game against the Tigers the New Zealander added: "The win against the Ospreys, and the manner of the win was impressive and it shows that we can play this game a couple of different ways.
"The Heineken Cup is a bit like a sprint. If you don't get out of the blocks well you are chasing your tail to catch up, so it's important to win your home games and go on from there."
Anscombe also praised the Ulster supporters.
He added: "People talk about coming to Ravenhill. They know we are hard to beat there, because of the support.
"Don't under estimate the value of what it means to the team when the crowd get up and start screaming 'stand up for the Ulster men' - that means an enormous amount and teams don't want to be here.
"We want Leicester to feel that, to want to get out of Ravenhill and on the plane as soon as possible and I know the crowd will play their part."
With rumours of the Heineken Cup possibly being replaced next year, Anscombe said it was vital the competition continued.
He added: "Everyone wants to play with the big boys and it would be a pity for northern hemisphere rugby if the competition is changed in any way."
Ulster XV and replacements:
