Ulster have signed Paul Emerick and Adam D'Arcy ahead of their Magner's League opener on Friday night at Ravenhill against defending champions Ospreys.
Emerick, 30, joins on a short-term three-month contract to cover for the injured Ireland international Andrew Trimble.
Trimble sustained a finger injury whilst on Ireland duty earlier in the summer and is not expected back in action until late next month.
Ulster have now recruited former Newport-Gwent Dragons player Emerick who will link up with the side next week.
D'Arcy, meanwhile, has earned a one-year deal after impressing sufficiently on trial.
He made a strong debut last week against Leeds.
