Fifteen runners have been declared for the Ulster Grand National at Downpatrick racecourse on Wednesday.

Last year's race featured an all-Ulster trained finished.

Chief Oscar came in first before tragically dying shortly after the three and a half mile steeplechase.

He pipped trainer Ian Ferguson's Ballywall to the post but will attempt to better that this time around.

Ballymena based Ferguson has a second horse in the event in Posh Bird.

However Colin McBratney's Selection Box tops the weights in a bid to improve on a third place finish in the 2010 race.

In-form Omagh based trainer, Mervyn Torrens runs Hughies Grey, who managed a second place finish in his last outing.

The feature of the racing season at Downpatrick also carries the added incentive of a €50,000 bonus if the winner also lands the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse's Easter Festival.

The fixture gets underway at 2.15pm.
