Holders Tyrone will face Cavan in the Dr McKenna Cup final, after both sides won their respective semi-final matches on Sunday.

The Red Hands, who are looking to claim the trophy for the third successive year, secured a 3-point win over Derry at Healy Park to progress to the decider.

Niall McKenna and Peter Harte both found the net for Mickey Harte's side, with Emmet McGuckin scoring Derry's goal as Tyrone ran out 2-13 to 1-13 winners.

In the other semi-final at Brewster Park in Enniskillen, Cavan regrouped after falling behind to an early Dermot Malone goal to claim a comprehensive win over Monaghan.

Eugene Keating top-scored with six points as the Breffni men took victory by 0-16 to 1-9.

The final will take place at Brewster Park next Saturday with a 7.30pm throw-in.
