Both teams will be eager to get the final under way after it was postponed last month because of an unplayable pitch.

The last meeting between the two sides in the cup was in the semi-final in 2011, with the Red Hands coming out on top.

Tyrone boss Mickey Harte told UTV he was keen to add to the county's trophy room.

He said: "We do like the competition, we like to give it our best and when you are going for three in a row it's nice to land that.

"The McKenna Cup is important for our preparation for the season ahead, first of all for the National League, then for the Ulster Championship and ultimately for the all-Ireland series.

"There are only four trophies to be won at senior level and we are fond of having any trophies we can have."

It's now 14 years since Cavan last won the trophy.

However, they are in good form with an unbeaten record this year and will be hoping for an upset.
