There were massive celebrations at the Odyssey on Friday as the Belfast Giants lifted the Elite League Monteith Bowl for the fourth time.

The Elite League trophy and Erhardt Conference trophy were presented to Captain Adam Keefe on the ice following their 7-4 win over Coventry Blaze to rapturous applause from fans who packed out the arena.

They were crowned champions following the team's away victory in Nottingham and both Dundee and Sheffield losing their respective games last weekend.

The weekend's results also secured the Erhardt Conference title for the Odyssey side.

Not only have the Giants taken the league title for fourth time - it's also first time any team has won the league championship with 10 games to spare.

The Giants took to the ice wearing specially commissioned celebratory jerseys to mark the occasion.

Belfast City Hall was also lit up in the team colours to in honour of the Giants' success.
