Antrim got their Dr McKenna Cup campaign off to a perfect start with a 3-7 to 0-15 win over Derry at Casement Park on Sunday.
The two sides went into the break level at 2-4 to 10 points, with both Michael McCann and Michael Magill hitting the net for Antrim.
The host side stretched their lead to three points with another goal from Ciaran Close 10 minutes from the finish, and Derry couldn't close the gap.
Antrim will play Down in their next match at Pairc Esler.
Also on Sunday Tyrone enjoyed a comprehensive 26 points to 10 win over St Mary's.
Kyle Coney was the star for the Red Hand County notching up five points at Healy Park.
Meanwhile Fermanagh beat Monaghan by four points.
