St Gall's secured their 16th country title with a three point win over Lamh Dearg in Saturday's Antrim Senior Football Championship final at Casement Park.

The game was not the one-sided display that many pundits had predicted, with Lamh Dearg gamely staying in touch with the former All-Ireland champions for much of the 60 minutes.

St Gall's led by 0-9 to 0-7 at the break, but Paddy Cunningham reduced the margin to a single point after the break.

However St Gall's pulled away again with scores from the McGourty brothers Kieran and Conor, and ultimately held on to claim a 0-14 to 0-11 victory.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Crossmaglen and Ballymacnab Round Towers booked their places in the Armagh senior Football Championship final with wins over Pearse Ogs and and Granemore St Mary's respectively.

In Down Burren booked their place in the county showpiece after seeing off Rostrevor by 1-14 to 0-6 at Pairc Esler on Sunday.

They will now face Clonduff, who beat Kilcoo by 0-11 to 1-7 in the other semi-final.

In Derry, Ballinderry will face Kilrea after both sides won their respective semi-finals.
