St Colman's Newry claimed the MacRory Cup with an impressive 1-14 to 1-8 victory over Omagh CBS at Casement Park on Wednesday.
Omagh took a slender first half lead after a goal from Ronan O'Neill after 15 minutes.
The Newry school had been 0-3 to 0-1 up through scores from Niall McParland, Jerome Johnston and Chris Clarke before O'Neill's superb strike.
However, St Colman's battled well after that setback, going in two points ahead at half time.
The margin could have been even more, but St Colman's were guilty of being wasteful in front of the posts in the opening period, hitting nine wides.
An early Caolan Mooney goal extended St Colman's lead, although Omagh battled back well to leave just a point between the sides going into the final quarter of the game.
However, the Tyrone side's challenge seemed to fade in the final ten minutes and, perhaps sensing the game was theirs, St Colman's piled on the pressure.
Further scores from Johnston, Mooney and Colm Stevenson in the closing stages left the Newry side deserved six point winners.
It was the first MacRory Cup win for St Colmans since 1998, and the 18th in their history.
