Nevin Spence is a doubt for Ulster's Heineken Cup game against Aironi in Italy on Saturday.

The centre was forced to leave the pitch last weekend against the Italians at Ravenhill due to a rib injury.

Spence has been named in the 34 man squad and will be assessed throughout the week.

Ulster secured a vital five points from last week's encounter with tries from Adam D'Arcy, Stephen Ferris, Andrew Trimble, Ian Humphreys and Paddy Jackson.

Elsewhere in the group Clermont defeated Leicester 30-12 at the Stade Marcel Michelin on Sunday with no bonus points scored, making Pool 4 the tightest in the tournament at this stage - just two points separate the top three teams.

Clermont top the table on 10 points, Ulster are one behind and Leicester a further point back.
