Ryder Cup team confirmed

Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley has confirmed his team for Gleneagles after selecting his three wild card picks.

Current world number one Rory McIlroy and number 16 Graeme McDowell were automatically selected for the team.On Tuesday, McGinley selected his wild cards for the biennial contest between Europe and the United States scheduled for September 26 to 28.McGinley added Lee Westwood, Stephen Gallacher and Ian Poulter to his team which is bidding to retain the cup.Speaking following the announcement, Irishman McGinley said excitement was building for the clash.He said: "Excitement is the word.
