Rogan confident ahead of rematch

Martin Rogan is confident ahead of his Heavyweight Title rematch with Sam Sexton
Martin Rogan has laughed off career-ending talks from Commonwealth Champion Sam Sexton.

The pair will meet at the Odyssey Arena on Friday night in a rematch of May's Commonwealth Heavyweight title fight.

That is where Norwich boxer Sexton says he will end Rogan's career.

"The last time we fought he was pretty mucked up, it took a lot out of him," Sexton told UTV.

"I respect any fighter but Martin Rogan's getting old now and I'm still fresh at 25, so I'm just going to ruin his night and he's not going to fight any more after this."

Rogan has other ideas - he wants revenge for his controversial defeat in May.

Rogan was declared unfit to continue the fight by the doctor because he could not see out of one eye.

But he told UTV that "a different" Martin Rogan will be stepping into the ring this time.

"He must be working with Paul Daniels or something, he must have a trick up his sleeve because there's no way he's going to," said Rogan.

"Let's see what he has on the 6th of November because he'll not get the first couple of rounds like he did the last time, getting free shots at me.

"It's a completely different Martin Rogan getting into the ring, we'll see, we'll see what happens."
