The 31-year-old rider remains in hospital in France, having been flown home after initial treatment in Belfast.

He was airlifted from the North Coast circuit to the Royal Victoria Hospital following his Superstock crash at Primrose Corner.

According to NW200 officials, he has said that he remembers the incident in which he sustained his injuries.

Petricola is now due to be discharged within days from the French hospital where his treatment has been continuing and doctors continue to expect a full recovery.
