Perry through to National semis

Northern Ireland's Madeline Perry is through to the semi-finals of the British National Championship after winning her quarter-final contest in Manchester on Thursday.

Perry, from Banbridge, saw off Bedfordshire's Victoria Lust 11-4, 11-5, 11-6 to make the last four of the competition.

On Wednesday Perry earned a straight sets victory when she beat Tesni Evans of Wales 11-2, 11-5, 11-5 in the opening round of the competition.

The 33-year-old is seeded second in the tournament, and is tipped to take on number one seed Jenny Duncalf in the final on Sunday.
