O'Kane, from the Immaculata club, regained the middleweight crown beating Holy Trinity's David Walsh 11-3 on points.
"I am delighted to have won it but I should have been going for eight not seven having lost out last year," he said afterwards.
"I knew I was ahead going into the last round so I just had to keep out of trouble.
"But all credit to David - he didn't make it easy for me."
Holy Trinity did have some consolation though as rookie Mark O'Hara lifted his first Ulster title and claimed the most promising fighter accolade at the end of the night.
The 18-year-old added that to the lightweight title he collected after beating Tyrone McKenna (Oliver Plunkett) 8-3.
"I tired a bit in the second round but I got myself together and held on to win so I am delighted," he said.
"It was the best win of my career and I am very proud to have won my first Ulster title."
"It's been a very hectic season for me but a successful one and hopefully that has done my chances of a place in the Commonwealths no harm."
Earlier O'Hara had lifted the Irish U18, U21 and Intermediate titles.
The best boxer of the Championship award went to Donegal's William McLaughlin (Illies Golden Gloves) who won the welterweight title when the referee stopped his contest with Naill McGinley (Bishop Kelly) in the first round.
Places in the Northern Ireland Commonwealth Boxing Championships team will be the reward for most of the winners and the line-up will be selected over the weekend.
