Northern Ireland international David Healy is being linked to three Championship clubs as the chase intensifies for the Sunderland man.
The 31-year-old has found himself out of the first team picture at the Stadium of Light.
According to reports, Nottingham Forest are one of the clubs interested in taking the Killyleagh man on loan with the window now open for temporary signings.
Healy has also been linked with Doncaster Rovers and Coventry City.
Doncaster is believed to want terms sorted out with Healy before the weekend.
Healy would join the club for three months to spearhead their bid to get promotion to the Premiership.
Healy has asked Sunderland boss Steve Bruce to let him go on loan for first team football, something that his Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington says he desperately needs.
Healy is Northern Ireland's record goal-scorer and played for Manchester United, Leeds United, and Fulham in the past.
