Talented Manchester United midfielder Oliver Norwood steered Northern Ireland Under-21s to their first victory in the UEFA Championship qualifying campaign.
San Marino U21 0 - 3 Northern Ireland U21
Norwood, 18, struck either side of the half to seal a comfortable win against the whipping boys of European football.
San Marino went into the match having conceded 39 goals in five games without one recorded.
They were outclassed as Northern Ireland, with only one point on the board themselves, dominated the match from the start.
Norwood got the ball rolling by making the breakthrough for Steve Beaglehole's side after 24 minutes.
Northern Ireland kept up the pressure and Port Vale's James Lawrie extended their lead in the 38th minute before Norwood added a third with 12 minutes remaining.
