Cliftonville were 2-1 winners over Dungannon Swifts on Monday despite being reduced to nine men in the closing minutes.

Aaron Smyth and Martin Donnelly were dismissed in the 87th and 89th minutes at Solitude.

The Reds had taken an early lead through Joe Gormley in the first half, before Barry Johnston made it two with a volley on 74 minutes.

Swifts responded a minute later as debutant Sean Friars headed home to pull one back.

It set up a frantic finish, with Smyth and Donnelly sent off, but Cliftonville managed to hold on to take the three points.
