Newry City’s Cullen Feeney defends himself from Larne''s Anthony Lagan and Gary Rafferty
The Irish FA's Executive Board have decided to let the result of the abandoned Irish Cup fifth round tie between Newry and Larne stand.

Newry, who were leading 2-1 when the brawl erupted, will meet Loughgall United in the sixth round at Lakeview Park on Saturday.

The winners of the tie will play Coleraine the following week at The Showgrounds.

Four players were sent off along with Larne's manager Paul Millar, after violent clashes erupted at Newry's Showgrounds in January.

Larne midfielder Anthony Lagan was hit with the harshest sanctions and was suspended for the rest of the season.

Larne's Robbie White and Brian Neeson and Newry's Cullen Feeney were each banned for two matches.

Millar was handed a four game ban, with Larne also fined £1,200 and warned regarding their future conduct.

Newry City were also warned and fined £800.

Referee Robert Crangle was forced to halt the tie, ten minutes from time after a riot broke out involving players, managers and backroom staff from both clubs.
