The Belfast Giants have signed netminder Nathan Craze for the 2010/11 ice hockey season, the club has announced.
Craze will return for his third season in a row with the Giants and his fourth in Belfast in his six-year professional career.
Craze played in 13 games last season, winning 6 including one shut out victory.
The season before Nathan backstopped the Giants to the semi-finals of the Knock Out Cup before getting injured.
In his three previous seasons in Belfast, Craze has won four championships, a league title in 2006, the Knock Out Cup and Challenge Cup in 2009 and the Playoff Championship in 2010.
"For a long time this summer, I thought the Giants were going to lose Nathan to another club who would give him a starting position", Giants Head Coach Doug Christiansen said.
"We are very fortunate to have him on our roster. Nathan is hungry to get ice time and I know that he will work hard to push Stephen Murphy everyday in practice. I know first hand that he has the ability to win games after he shut out the Edinburgh Capitals last season."
Craze said he was very excited about the team that Doug is putting together
"I'm looking forward to another successful season and I want to be work to stay up with the likes of Murphy and Stevie Lyle as top British goalies and hopefully remain with the GB National Team. Most of all I want to win more championships," he said.
General Manager Todd Kelman expects more signing announcements within the next week.
"We have two of the best British goalies and the best netminding duo in the league for another season. Nathan and Stephen Murphy make it a lot easier for us to build a strong team around," he added.
