Doncaster midfielder Dean Shiels has been recalled by Northern Ireland manager Nigel Worthington for the friendly with Serbia in Belfast on November 14.
The former Hibernian player, who has eight caps but has not played for his country since a 2-0 defeat by Hungary a year ago, had been out of favour but has impressed his national team boss with two goals in his last three games for Rovers.
Dunfermline striker Andy Kirk retains his place, while Manchester United defender Jonny Evans should feature after missing the final World Cup qualifier with the Czech Republic.
Martin Paterson and Sammy Clingan remain on the injured list.
With Crusaders' Colin Coates also missing out on a place, the Carling Premiership fixture between his club side and Glentoran will now go ahead as scheduled at Seaview.
