It couldn't have been closer for Barbara Cameron and Mandy Cunningham, who saw off their Jersey opponents with the telling shot in the final end.
It's Cunningham's first Commonwealth medal in this her fifth Games. On Thursday night, she said it would be "a dream come true" to grab the bronze medal in Friday morning's match.
The NI girls' win denies Jersey their first medal in any sport in 24 years and it was a victory that they were made to fight for.
The Jersey pair of Katie Nixon and Lindsey Greechan went 3-0 ahead in the first end and it took until the 13th for NI to get into the lead.
It is only NI's third medal of the Games although that tally will soon rise with nine of Team NI's boxers in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, the Northern Ireland netball team beat Wales 58-36 on Friday morning to take seventh place, goal-shooter Lisa Somerville scoring 46 of her 53 shots.
