Senior VP of NHL International, Kenneth Yaffe has told UTV he expects a "competitive" and "historic event" when the Belfast Giants take on NHL originals, the Boston Bruins.

The senior NHL executive was in Belfast finalising plans for the upcoming Boston Bruins v Belfast Giants select game in October.
Mr Yaffe, who is responsible for developing the NHL's global business ventures, believes fans should expect "a great game'" as the Bruins face up to a Belfast Giants select squad which will feature some of the biggest names in the UK Elite league.
He added "it'll be wonderful sporting spectacle and a great night for hockey" as "one of the most historic franchises in the NHL face off against a local club, the Belfast Giants".
The Bruins, founded in 1924 and one of Ice Hockey's 'Original Six', are a staple of the NHL with 5 Stanley Cup wins under their belt, a feat eclipsed only by the Detroit Red Wings.
Bruins President, Cam Neely - a former superstar forward and NHL Hall of Famer - will also travel to Belfast with the team and said he believes the trip to Europe to start their season will be an excellent bonding experience for the Bruins players.
The 2010 Compuware NHL Premiere Challenge game between the Belfast Giants Selects and Boston Bruins will be played at the Odyssey Arena, Belfast, on 2 October.
