Loughgeil retained their Antrim Senior Hurling title with a win over Cushendall in Sunday's county final at Casement Park, while Ballycran saw off Portaferry to clinch the Down title in Downpatrick.

Loughgeil had Liam Watson to thank after his second-half penalty dragged them back into the game, and the Shamrocks followed up with three unanswered to secure a 1-14 to 0-14 win.

Meanwhile Ballycran had Scott Nicholson to thank, as his late strike ensured victory by 1-12 to 0-14 over a valiant Portaferry side.

Portaferry forward Kevin McGarry missed a late free which would have taken the game to a replay.
