Ulster Rugby's new Chief Executive, Shane Logan, has vowed to make Ulster Rugby a world-class organisation, both on and off the pitch.
Speaking at his official unveiling on Tuesday morning Mr Logan said:
"There are broadly three things to do. One is to ensure the domestic game, the clubs and the schools are alive with goodness and thriving.
"Second is to ensure in the professional game that we are right up there at the top of the pyramid.
"And third is to ensure that there is very strong financial and commercial success underpinning those.
"I don't see there being any clear division, a third a third a third, or a third a quarter a quarter: the aim is to ensure all parts are moving forward at the same time reinforcing each other."
Mr Logan, who took up his post at Ravenhill last week, has gathered a wealth of business and commercial knowledge over the past 17 years across a wide range of industry sectors.
His first senior position was as General Manager of the world famous Harland and Wolff Shipbuilders.
That was followed by his appointment as the Head of Coca-Cola for General Russia.
More recently Mr Logan was Chief Executive of the Royal National Institute of the Blind.
Bank of Ireland Regional Manager, Pat Byrne welcomed Mr Logan on board saying:
"Like any other business, Ulster Rugby needs strong decisive leadership to navigate their way through current economic conditions.
"With Mr Logan's experience and in-depth knowledge of commercial business, there are high expectations for effective and efficient management to help place Ulster Rugby in a stronger position in the future."
