Welshman Jamie Donaldson is taking a one-stroke lead over England's Anthony Wall into the last day.

But three-major winner Harrington remains the title favourite after a 72 left him sharing third spot with Englishman Mark Foster on Saturday - only two strokes behind.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland's three golf stars battled through heavy rain to try to stay in touch with the leaders.

Rory McIlroy is six back, Graeme McDowell eight behind and Open champion Darren Clarke nine adrift.

Overnight leader Gregory Bourdy crashed to an 80 - it included a triple bogey eight on the 17th.

The golfing stars received tremendous support from the 30,000 strong sell-out crowd on the course, where umbrellas were the order of the day, although the bad weather conditions eased in the afternoon.

Happy Harry

Just been sitting in on Harrington's presser where he spoke about the fact he was satisfied with a 72 in what proved to be very testing conditions.

On the first and second hole he was surprised by the wind and cold when he hit second shots which were 45 and 25 yards respectively but he said his birdie two at 14 was the point at which his belief returned.

Tomorrow he's out with Mark Foster, also on -10.

Mark it down

Bourdy's playing partner in the last match, Mark Foster, meanwhile fares much better with a one under 35 on the back nine bringing him home at -10.

One over for the day.. but just two off the lead at the end of it.

Gregory' fall

Monsieur Bourdy was all smiles yesterday but a dark cloud is hanging over him as arrives on the 18th green having bogeyed 16 and racked up a triple bogey eight at the 17th.

He finishes on a scarcely credible -4 after a horror show 80!
