The other semi-final will see Glenavon travel to face Premiership leaders Cliftonville.

Both fixtures will take place on Tuesday, 11 December.

Crusaders reached the last four with a convincing 3 - 1 victory over Lisburn Distillery on Monday night.

They face a Linfield side that are starting to regain the kind of form usually expected from the Blues.

A 6 - 0 thrashing of Ballymena United on Monday night was proof that their poor start to the season is well and truly behind them.

Cliftonville defeated Portadown 3 - 1 to reach the semi-finals, and Glenavon overcame Glentoran 2-1 in what was the surprise result of the round.

While Crusaders may be bossing the Danske Bank Premiership, it was their North Belfast rivals Cliftonville who made the headlines again this weekend.
