Toomebridge's Eugene Laverty closed the gap at the top of the World Supersport Championship on Sunday.
The Parkalgar Honda rider led until the final five laps at Silverstone when Championship leader Kenan Sofuoglu overtook him to set up a dramatic finish.
Laverty left it late but grabbed the lead back on the final lap and held on for a spectacular win.
He is now just 17 points behind Sofuoglu in the standings with three rounds remaining.
Meanwhile Ballyclare's Jonathan Rea claimed seond place in both of Sunday's World Superbikes races at Silverstone.
Cal Crutchlow took his first ever World Superbike wins as he beat Rea to claim double success.
