The IFA Raymond Kennedy has vowed to stay on, a week after the organisation agreed to settle its long-running dispute with ex-chief executive Howard Wells.
Kennedy told the Belfast Telegraph he would "absolutely not" be considering his position despite the pay-out fiasco.
"Things like this, that have seen money paid out, have affected the IFA before and we have moved on."
"I am involved in a lot of work on various issues. Work that I can't walk away from."
"Even at the minute I have involved in discussions with the international manager over a new contract."
"I am heavily engaged in working to get the stadium issue moved forward as quickly as possible and brought to a successful conclusion."
Mr Kennedy said he brought financial boosts to the IFA including two friendly matches in the next year.
"I negotiated £200,000 for the friendly against Italy in June. Where else would we have brought in that kind of money with the squad we took to that match?" Kennedy asked.
Kennedy told the newspaper he secured a $500,000 grant from UEFA to repair the North Stand roof at Windsor Park.
He also said he was involved in discussions to bring "two major matches" at Windsor Park to bring the money needed to fund the new stadium, "because we can't rely on government to give us 100% funding."
