The squad for Ulster's upcoming Pro12 clash with Scarlets has been named, with Paddy Jackson included in the starting lineup.

Jackson, who scored his first try for Ireland in the Six Nations last weekend, has been released from international duty for Friday night's game at Ravenhill.

His inclusion is one of several changes to the side that beat Ospreys, with Jared Payne moved from outside centre to fullback and Darren Cave reverting to a more familiar role at 13.

Craig Gilroy continues on the right wing with Michael Allen keeping his place on the left.

Luke Marshall starts at inside centre alongside Cave, with Jackson at outhalf and Ruan Pienaar, who played his 75th game for Ulster against Ospreys, named at scrumhalf.

Roger Wilson moves across the backrow to blindside.

Ulster have lost just once at Ravenhill in the past 12 months - however the Scarlets beat them at Parc y Scarlets earlier in the season. The game kicks off at 7.05pm on Friday.

Mark Anscombe's side currently sit third in the Pro12 table.

Ulster XV and replacements: (15-9): J Payne, C Gilroy, D Cave, L Marshall, M Allen, P Jackson, R Pienaar; (1-8): T Court, R Herring, J Afoa, J Muller (Captain), I Henderson, R Wilson, S Doyle, N Williams; (16-23): N Annett, C Black, R Lutton, R Diack, M McComish, P Marshall, R Scholes, R Andrew.
