Some discomfort after last weekend's game has failed to improve and a scan has since confirmed a stress injury to a bone in D'Arcy's foot.
He'll be immobilised for at least four weeks and will then require further tests and specialist review before returning to action.
It's hoped that he might return to play in around six weeks.
The Ireland training squad for the Scotland test match week will be announced on Sunday evening, following the completion of the RaboDirect PRO12 matches.
