Hurricane takes Irish Champion Hurdle

Hurricane Fly won the Irish Champion Hurdle on Sunday at Leopardstown.
Paul Townend steered the horse to his fourth victory over his old rival Solwhit, who has won one of their encounters.
The 4-9 favourite won by three-and-half lengths and is now rated one of the leading contenders for the 15 March Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham.
Earlier in the meeting Realt Dubh, at 5-2, beat Noble Prince by a short head to win the Irish Arkle Chase.
