Scotland's Richie Ramsey won the South Africa Open after a closing round of 76 to finish two under par at Pearl Valley on Sunday.

Three years after becoming the first Scot to win the US Amateur in 108 years, Ramsay now has his first European Tour title.

The 25-year-old from Aberdeen came from five behind with a best-of-the-day 65 and then beating Indian Shiv Kapur with a birdie on the first play-off hole.

Michael Hoey and Gareth Maybin of Northern Ireland both finished in joint 35th on two under.

Hoey shot a closing four over par 76 and Maybin carded a 71.
